Karwar, January 28: Eco Cycle Corporation, owned by non-resident Kannadigas in Japan Dr. Srihari Chandraghatagi, has won a prestigious Japanese award for the second time in the last 3 months.
While Eco Cycle Corporation received the Japanese government’s Super Manufactures Award three months ago, it is special that this time it has been selected for the prestigious Good Company Award.

Srihari Chandraghatagi from Siddapur taluk in Uttara Kannada, founded Eco Cycle Corporation and is providing unique services to many prestigious companies by developing various technologies to free industrial pollution.
Japan’s Good Company Award
The Japan Good Company Award, established in 1967 by the Small and Medium Enterprises Research Institute, is a national award given to small and medium enterprises that have shown exceptional performance in social services and have also achieved financial progress. The award will be presented at a grand ceremony to be held in Otimachi, Tokyo on Feb. 2.
Japanese companies are known for their world-class quality. Eco Cycle’s achievement of winning the competition with them and making a unique mark in the commercial sector there is truly amazing.
Srihari, who has been living in Tokyo for two and a half decades
Dr. Srihari Chandraghatagi has been living in Tokyo for the past two and a half decades, established Eco Cycle Corporation and is working as its Chairman and CEO. Apart from this, Srihari has made immense contributions as a microbiologist in the fields of agriculture, water resources conservation and has conducted research to prevent industrial pollution.
Through his Eco Cycle organization, since 2006, he has researched many new technologies to protect the environment and increase groundwater levels, as well as prevent groundwater pollution.
