New Delhi: Police have arrested a couple in Delhi who were spying for Pakistan’s ISI (Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence).
Sahil (25) and his wife Sameera (21) are the arrested accused. The two were in touch with the personnel of a Pakistan-based intelligence agency. The police said that the two were sharing sensitive information related to India with them.
The duo was used to supply Indian SIM cards, recruit operatives and collect sensitive information. The couple had been spying since 2024. Pakistani handlers were sending money for this, officials said.
Selling SIMs for Rs 30,000:
Sahil and Sameera sent eight Indian SIM cards to Pakistan via Dubai between 2024 and 2025. Pakistani handlers paid them Rs 30,000 for the SIM cards. These SIMs were used to activate WhatsApp accounts in Pakistan.
It is alleged that Pakistani intelligence operatives used those accounts to contact people in India and collect sensitive information.
