Moodubidire: Srushti Manjunath Ullagaddi, a final-year Information Science Engineering student of Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), has been selected as a Software Engineer by global payments technology company Visa, with the annual value of her compensation and quantified benefits amounting to Rs.46.33 lakh.
Srushti, who hails from Hattimattur village in Haveri district, is the daughter of farmer Manjunath and homemaker Sujatha. Her brother and sister have also pursued their pre-university education at Alva’s.
An internship at Visa during her sixth semester proved to be a significant turning point in Srushti’s career. As part of Alva’s emphasis on quality internships and industry exposure, she was selected through an interview for a 10-week internship with Visa. During the internship, she received a stipend of ₹90,000 and gained valuable hands-on industry experience while demonstrating her technical skills and capabilities. Impressed by her performance, Visa subsequently offered her a full-time position as a Software Engineer.
According to the offer details, Srushti’s annual compensation is Rs.35.58 lakh. In addition, the offer provides family medical insurance worth Rs.7.5 lakh a year, an OPD benefit of Rs.25,000 and an education subsidy of up to Rs.3 lakh. She will also be entitled to facilities such as gym access, office transport and an annual health check-up. Including the benefits for which a monetary value has been specified, the annual value of the offer works out to Rs.46.33 lakh.

Her selection is being described by the institution as the highest-value placement offer secured by an Alva’s student so far.
