Mumbai, September 01: Famous rapper Badshah took a big step in his personal and professional life on August 31. Hours after announcing his divorce from wife Isha Rikhi, Badshah released his first Marathi hip-hop song ‘Chimna’.

Badshah and Isha Rikhi were in a relationship for about four years and got married in a simple ceremony in March 2026. However, just five months into their marriage, they decided to separate by mutual consent.

Sharing a joint statement on Instagram, they said, ‘Isha Rikhi and I have mutually agreed to separate and go our separate ways. We have taken this decision with respect and request everyone to respect our privacy at this time. We request you not to give any space to speculation about our relationship. This is our final statement on this matter,” he clarified.

Amidst the news of his personal life, Badshah’s song ‘Chimna’ has caught the attention of music lovers. Divya Kumar and folk artist Nagesh Morvekar are the voices of this song, which is a blend of hip-hop style and Maharashtra’s folk style. Actress Neha Khan also appears in this video.

Shot in Kolhapur, this music video realistically shows the earthy style of Maharashtra, traditional wrestling arenas and local lifestyle.

Talking about his first Marathi song, Badshah said, “India’s regional music has immense wealth. The song ‘Chimna’ is my tribute to the rich culture of Maharashtra. Thank you to everyone who supported my endeavor.”
