Lucknow, Sep 2: After the donation theft case at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya came to light, the decision was taken to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and applications were invited for the top post.
Around 5,200 applications were received for the post of CEO of the Ram Mandir Trust, out of which only 20 candidates were selected for the interview round.
After the interview, retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra has been selected as the first Chief Executive Officer of the Ram Mandir Trust.
Mishra, who held several commanding posts in the Indian Air Force, was the head of the Western Command during Operation Sindoor.
Who is this Jitendra Mishra:
Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra is a retired senior officer of the Indian Air Force and served as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Command of the Air Force.
In a career spanning over 38 years, he has held several important administrative and command positions in the Air Force. These include Commanding Officer of a Fighter Squadron, Chief Test Pilot of the Aircraft & Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE), Air Officer Commanding of two air bases, Director of Air Base Office, Principal Director (ASR) and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Projects), Commandant of ASTE and Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff. Before assuming his current position, he served as the Deputy Chief of the Combined Defence Staff.
This senior Air Force officer has been awarded the ‘Ati Vishisht Seva Medal’ and the ‘Vishisht Seva Medal’.
