Jaipur, January 30: Sadhvi Prem Baisa, a well-known religious preacher of the Boranad Ashram in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, collapsed and died mysteriously. Prem Baisa’s sudden death has shocked the saint community and her followers.
The mysterious death of 25-year-old Sadhvi Prem Baisa has further complicated the case of a post on her social media account demanding justice four hours after her death. The police are investigating the matter.
The Sadhvi, who collapsed last evening, was immediately taken to a private hospital. However, doctors said that she was brought dead on reaching the hospital.
“The Sadhvi was brought to the hospital in a car at around 6 pm yesterday evening. After examining the doctors, she was declared dead. The body has been sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death,” the police said.
According to initial investigations, the Sadhvi was suffering from fever and was undergoing treatment at the ashram. Police said she collapsed after receiving an injection from a compounder who was called to the ashram. Officials said she was being treated at the ashram.
The news has led to a large-scale protest at the ashram. Thousands of devotees have gathered and demanded a fair and transparent investigation.

A video of her hugging and kissing her guru and father-in-law Swamiji went viral in July last year. It is said that the Sadhvi was tortured daily after the video went viral. A case was also registered in this regard. Later, the Sadhvi had publicly said that she was ready to undergo any tough test to prove her innocence.
