Several US warplanes crash in Kuwait; fire at embassy compound

Kuwait, Mar 02: Several US warplanes crashed in Kuwait today, the Gulf nation’s defense ministry said.

Iran continued its retaliatory attacks on the United States, and several US F-15 fighter jets crashed in the same context. The pilots ejected safely before the crash.

The Kuwaiti defense ministry said that all the crew of the crashed plane were safely evacuated and taken to hospital for medical check-ups, the Associated Press reported.

Fire and smoke were reported at the US embassy compound after Iran attacked Kuwait.

Iran has intensified its missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait amid rising tensions in West Asia.

Meanwhile, fire and smoke were seen coming from the premises of the US Embassy in Kuwait City following the attack.

In this context, the US has issued an urgent advisory to its citizens in Kuwait to avoid coming to the embassy and to seek shelter indoors.
