Changes in some bank transactions, ATM withdrawals from April 1

Delhi, March 25: From April 1, HDFC Bank will charge fees for UPI-based cash withdrawals. Punjab National Bank has revised its daily cash withdrawal limit. Along with this, Jio Payments Bank has introduced QR code-based withdrawal facility.

New rules from April 1

There are only a few days left for the start of the new financial year. The new financial year will start from April 1. In this context, several banks have brought some changes in ATM usage from April 1.

Change in HDFC Bank

Private sector HDFC Bank has made some changes in UPI-based cash withdrawals made at ATMs. Customers who exceed their monthly limit will be charged Rs. 10 per transaction, excluding applicable taxes. 23 will be charged.

HDFC rule is as follows

Currently, most customers are eligible for five free withdrawals per month at HDFC Bank ATMs, along with three free transactions in metro cities and five free transactions at ATMs of other banks in non-metro areas.

Punjab National Bank

Meanwhile, public sector Punjab National Bank has revised its daily cash withdrawal limits for select debit cards. Under the new rules, customers will be able to withdraw between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 75,000 per day, depending on their card type.

Limits reduced

Some cards that earlier allowed withdrawals of up to Rs. 1 lakh will now have their limits reduced. The move is aimed at standardising usage and improving risk management.

Jio Payments Bank

In addition to this, Jio Payments Bank has introduced a new QR code-based cash withdrawal facility. This allows customers to withdraw money by scanning a UPI QR code.
