Bengaluru, March 28: Keeping in mind the IPL inaugural match to be held in Bengaluru city today, State Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh held an important meeting on Friday.



She reviewed the security preparations for the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad to be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The state government has been alerted in the wake of the stampede incident that occurred last year and has instructed the officials to take strict precautionary measures to prevent any mishap this time.
It is learnt that the security arrangements inside and around the stadium, entry and exit routes, vehicle traffic control, parking arrangements, drinking water and other necessary facilities were discussed in detail.
In addition, the traffic congestion problems that may arise on the match day were also discussed in the meeting. It is learnt that the number of passengers in metro trains is likely to increase and many aspects including train schedules and security at metro stations were discussed.
Shalini Rajneesh has instructed the officials to work in a coordinated manner and be on high alert everywhere. She has warned that even a small mistake can lead to a big disaster.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from various departments including Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) office bearers, RCB representatives, city police commissioner, GBA chief commissioner and BMRCL managing director.
