Young Achiever Avish S. Shetty Felicitated for Outstanding Accomplishments

Mangaluru: St Aloysius Gonzaga School proudly felicitated Master Avish S. Shetty of Class III, son of Satish Shetty Kondana and Bharathi, for his exceptional achievements in acting, sports, and performing arts, on 30 July 2026.

Speaking on the occasion, Rev. FrRohan D’Almeida SJ, Principal, St Aloysius Gonzaga School, appreciated the role of parents in nurturing their children’s talents and encouraging them to pursue excellence. As the school celebrated the Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola, he shared that one of the qualities he admired most in St Ignatius was his spirit of ambition; not for personal success, but for striving towards excellence and making the best use of one’s God-given gifts. He remarked that the same spirit of positive ambition is reflected in the parents of Avish Shetty and his elder brother Atish Shetty, who recognised their children’s potential from an early age and consistently nurtured their talents with dedication and encouragement. He noted that the achievements of the two young brothers are a beautiful example of how parental vision, perseverance, and the children’s hard work together lead to excellence.

A gifted young talent, Avish has made a mark in television, short films, and Kannada cinema. His noteworthy performance in the Kannada film “Mithya”, which gained 72nd National Award and international recognition, brought him wide appreciation. He has also showcased his acting talent in the Kannada feature film “Purushavatara.”

Avish has also excelled in sports, bringing laurels through his achievements in kickboxing and karate. He secured Silver Medals at the National Level Kickboxing Championships held in Pune (2024) and Chennai (2025), a State Level Medal in Mysuru (2026), and Gold Medals in Karate Championships held in Mangaluru and Mandarthi. His talents further extend to dance, swimming, cricket, and athletics.

The school congratulated Avish for his accomplishments and wished him continued success as he inspires young learners to follow their dreams with confidence and purpose.
