Bengaluru: The Enforcement Directorate on Monday raided the residences of Congress MLA N A Harris’ two sons and others in connection with their financial dealings with Srikrishna Ramesh alias Sriki, the main accused in the Bitcoin scam.

By 6.30 am on Monday, more than 100 personnel from the ED Bengaluru zone had raided a total of 17 places, including the Shanthinagar residence of the MLA and Nalapad’s father N.A. Harris.
The ED raided Harris’ house behind Garuda Mall in Bengaluru. At the same time, the residence of Harris’ son Muhammad Nalapad was also raided. The raid was carried out by ED officials in the presence of central security personnel.
There was continuous financial dealings between Nalapad and Sriki during the first six years before the Bitcoin case was detected. A total of ₹4.65 crore was exchanged during this period. ED sources said that it is being investigated whether this is related to the Bitcoin transaction or if it is a different illegal transaction.
Officials have informed that the residences of MLA Harris’ sons Mohammed Harris Nalapad and Omar Farooq Nalapad and crypto hacker Srikrishna Ramesh alias Sriki are included.
ED officials are currently examining the documents. An investigation is also underway into the manner in which financial transactions were carried out with the accused in the Bitcoin scam. It is possible that some information may also be collected from NA Harris and Mohammed Nalapad in connection with the case. .
