MLA Satish Sail’s daughter crowned ‘Miss India’ – The country is proud of Sadhvi’s achievement; Selected for Miss World 2027

Karwar/Bhubaneswar: Sadhvi Satish Sail, the proud daughter of Uttara Kannada in the coastal district and daughter of Congress MLA Satish Sail from Karwar assembly constituency, has emerged as the champion of ‘Femina Miss India 2026’. Sadhvi has won this prestigious crown after beating beauties from various states of the country at a grand ceremony held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

A beauty who blossomed on a grand stage

The grand finale of Femina Miss India 2026 was held on Saturday night at the famous ‘Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology’ (KIIT) premises in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. There was tough competition among 30 models from 30 states of the country. Sadhvi Sail, who performed brilliantly in this competition, was declared the winner. Rajnandini Pawar from Maharashtra was the first runner-up and Shri Advaita Ji from Jammu and Kashmir was the second runner-up.

Father’s joy over daughter’s achievement

As soon as he heard the news of his daughter becoming Miss India, MLA Satish Sail became emotional. Congratulating his daughter through a video call, he said, ‘My daughter has achieved this achievement with the blessings of God. She had prepared for this competition in just a short period of three months.

Being under the pressure of work as an MLA, I could not fully cooperate with her preparation. However, she has made the country proud today with her hard work,’ he shared his happiness. He also shared this sweet news with CM Siddaramaiah and DCM D.K. Shivakumar.

Karwar connection and education

Sadhvi Sail’s father is Satish Krishna Sail and mother is Kalpana Sail. Sadhvi was born in Panaji, Goa, so she represented the state of Goa in this competition. But her childhood and primary education took place in Karwar.

Direct entry to Miss World 2027

Sadhvi Sail has not only won the Miss India crown, but has also directly qualified to represent India in the prestigious ‘Miss World 2027’ competition to be held in 2027. This is a matter of pride not only for Karwar but also for the entire Karnataka and India.

Why did she enter the competition through Goa?

Although Sadhvi Sail’s original home is in Karwar, she was born in Panaji, Goa. According to the Miss India rules, she represented the state of Goa based on her birthplace. No matter the state, the fact that our proud daughter of Karwar has won is a reason for the joy of Kannadigas.

Crowning amidst cultural splendor

The event held at the KIIT campus was special as around 25,000 tribal students participated. KIIT founder Dr. Achyuta Samantha honored Sadhvi Sail with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. Previous winners Nikita Porwal and Rekha Pandey crowned Sadhvi and wished her well. Karnataka’s Khushi Ramesh Kalakeri also made it to the top 15 of the competition, bringing another feather to the cap for the state.

Sadhvi Sail’s success is a new inspiration for the talents of the coastal region. The people of the country are wishing her to triumph on the Miss World stage as well.
