Udupi, April 07: A 60-year-old man who fell into a 20-feet deep well in Kodavoor, Udupi, has been miraculously rescued after a 3-day long struggle.
60-year-old Srinivas Bhat has been miraculously rescued. Srinivas lived alone. Having recently recovered from his illness, he had gone to water his garden. The pump installed in the well was full of garbage, and he had gone to the well to clean it. While trying to pull the pipe, the rope broke. At this time, he also lost his balance and fell into the 20-feet deep well.
Since there was no one around, shouting was of no use. Srinivas, holding the pipe in the well, sat there for three days.
Meanwhile, the agency staff has come to the house to deliver the cylinder after booking the gas cylinder. When they searched for the OTP to deliver the cylinder, an old man was heard screaming from inside the well.
The gas staff and locals who immediately took action informed the fire brigade. The rescue team that immediately reached the spot managed to lift the person safely from the well.
Srinivas Acharya is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital and is out of danger. Through this, a life has been saved due to the punctuality of the staff who came to deliver the gas cylinder.
