Mangalore, May 13: Mulki police have arrested a student who was carrying about 1 kg 42 grams of hydrovid ganja worth Rs 35 lakh.

Suhana (21) was arrested for transporting hydrovid ganja on Mulki Railway Station Road on Tuesday.
The arrested woman is a resident of Hulidevara Bana in Sagar taluk of Shivamogga and was studying her final year BCA in a college in Kundapur. Hydrovid ganja worth Rs 35 lakh, the mobile phone used in the crime and other items have been seized.
She intended to bring the drug from Chennai and sell it to make money. Mulki police have booked the arrested woman
The police investigation has revealed that this 21-year-old student has already been involved in several serious criminal cases.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against her at Kavoor police station in Mangalore.
It has also come to light that a case of drug trafficking has been registered against her at the Customs Department of Bangalore International Airport.
