Actor-director Om Prakash Rao accused of cheating Rs 3.85 crore – Case filed

Bengaluru, August 23: Sandalwood’s mass director and the king of action films, Omprakash Rao, is now literally in trouble. A serious criminal case of Rs 3.85 crore has been filed against this director in real life, who has given action-cuts to dozens of stories on the silver screen.

‘Phoenix’ shocks ‘Yodha”s friend!
This whole story started with friendship. Bhaskar Shetty, the complainant in this case, had previously worked with Omprakash Rao in the challenging star Darshan-starrer ‘Yodha’. Capitalizing on their friendship and intimacy that began from there, Omprakash Rao made an offer to Bhaskar Shetty. The same dream of making a movie called ‘Phoenix’. Now, with the name of this movie itself, the director has given the complainant a shock that literally burns him.

Crores of money swallowed step by step.
According to the complaint, Omprakash Rao and his team, who had said that they would make the movie ‘Phoenix’, have gradually extorted a total of 3 crore 85 lakh rupees from Vasudevareddy, Bhaskar Shetty, Vasanthamma and Jayalakshmi. But as time passed, there was no trace of the movie, nor was there any smell of the money given. The serious allegation that is now being heard is that the money received under the pretext of making the movie was used for personal purposes and defrauded.

Threatened to go home, wife also accompanied.
When the complainant went to Omprakash Rao’s house to ask for his hard-earned money back, a different movie took place there. It is said that the director who had to pay the money had threatened the complainant in return. Not only Omprakash Rao, but also his wife Dennisa Prakash have been named in this case. A complaint has been filed against them at the Byadarahalli police station on the charge that the wife, along with her husband, has also been involved in the fraud.

The complainants approached the police commissioner.
After filing a complaint at the local police station but did not get justice, the complainant Bhaskar Shetty directly met Bangalore Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh and appealed for justice. Omprakash Rao, who used to entertain the audience through mass films, is now in a situation where he has to wander around the courts and police stations.

The fact that directors who show heroes as invincible on the silver screen are facing such allegations in real life has now become a hot topic of discussion in Gandhinagar.
