Bengaluru, Sept 02: An FIR has been filed at Kengeri police station against Samrat, son of Sandalwood famous actor ‘Duniya’ Vijay, on charges of assaulting a classmate for trivial reason of overtaking.
‘Duniya’ Vijay’s son Samrat has been accused of forcibly taking his classmate in a car and severely assaulting him. The scuffle, which started over a trivial issue of overtaking a car, ended in a kidnapping and assault case.
In connection with the incident, the injured Manish had gone to Kengeri police station and officially filed a complaint against Duniya Vijay’s son and his friends.
An FIR has been registered at Kengeri police station on the basis of a complaint filed by Manish Gowda. Samrat Vijay has been named as the A1 accused in the case, and a case has also been registered against four others.
Samrat and his friends were travelling in a Gypsy car on Monday evening. At this time, Manish Gowda and his friends are said to have come in an i20 car and overtook Samrat’s car.
A verbal altercation took place between the two groups regarding the overtaking issue. In the same incident, this afternoon, while Manish was standing outside the RV University premises on Mysore Road, Duniya Vijay’s son and his supporters forcibly dragged him into their car. It is alleged that Vijay’s son and his friends severely assaulted him in the moving car.
Both Manish and Samrat, who were attacked, are classmates of RV University. Manish, who was injured in the attack, was immediately admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
