New Delhi, Sept 15: Around 200 passengers staged a protest at Delhi airport due to repeated rescheduling and excessive delays of Dubai-bound SpiceJet flights.

Two flights, SG 5111 and SG 5105, were scheduled to depart for Dubai on Monday morning and evening, respectively. However, their departure times were altered, leaving many passengers stranded at the airport, according to sources.
A spokesperson for the airline expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the passengers and stated that arrangements for alternative flights had been made.
Since Monday evening, approximately 200 passengers have been protesting at various locations within Terminal 3 (T3) of Delhi airport. Sources indicated that airport authorities have brought the matter to the attention of senior SpiceJet officials. Two SpiceJet flights bound for Dubai from Delhi were delayed due to the grounding of an aircraft. Alternative arrangements have been made for the affected passengers. A spokesperson stated that the airline has made every effort to minimize the inconvenience.
SpiceJet has been facing several challenges recently. Last week, Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu informed a news agency that the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the regulator, the DGCA, are closely monitoring SpiceJet’s financial health and operations.
