New Delhi: Amid rising military tensions between Iran and the US, an Iranian drone attack on Kuwait International Airport today. An Indian was killed in the attack.



An Indian citizen was killed in the attack at Kuwait International Airport, it said. Kuwait has temporarily closed its airspace following the drone attack.
Following the incident, India’s largest airline, IndiGo, has suspended all flights to and from Kuwait till 12 noon today. The drone targeted the passenger building of Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport. Following the attack, the Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority has decided to close the country’s airspace with immediate effect. All air traffic has been temporarily suspended. It said flights are being diverted to alternative airports.

IndiGo said in a statement that precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. “We understand that this will affect the travel plans of passengers and we regret it, but the safety of our customers and employees is our top priority,” the airline said.
