Mangaluru: A delegation from Kyoto Kagaku, Japan, visited the Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) on Monday, September 7, 2026.
The delegation comprised Toshiyuki Takayama, President of Kyoto Kagaku, and Takao Kinouchi, General Manager – Overseas Sales. The delegates were warmly welcomed, and Dr. Rithesh Joseph D’Cunha, Associate Professor in Anaesthesiology and Head of Healthcare Simulation Education, coordinated the visit.
During the visit, Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, interacted with the delegates and discussed opportunities for future collaboration between Kyoto Kagaku and FMCI, particularly in healthcare simulation education and training.
The Father Muller Simulation & Skill Centre (FMSSC), one of Kyoto Kagaku’s largest users of healthcare simulation products, showcased the extensive utilisation of the company’s advanced simulation equipment and skill trainers. Toshiyuki Takayama expressed his appreciation and was particularly impressed by the effective use of Kyoto Kagaku products at the centre. He admired the high standards the institution has set in simulation training and expressed his desire to further strengthen their association—one that has spanned over ten years—in the years ahead.
Also present at the meeting were Rev. Dr. Michael Santhumayor, Administrator, FMMC, FMCOAHS and FMCOP; Rev. Fr. George Jeevan Sequeira, Administrator, FMMCH; Rev. Fr. William D’Souza, Assistant Administrator, FMMCH; and Mr. Pradeep D’Souza, Simulation Technician.
Representing Tech4HC, the authorised dealer of Kyoto Kagaku healthcare simulation products in the South Indian region, were Tapa Bhattacharyya, Director, and Rajath Raveendran, General Manager. Bhattacharyya spoke about the continued association between the organisations and assured Tech4HC’s support and collaboration in future programmes and initiatives.
