Tumakuru: The Chikkanayakanahalli police in the district have very cleverly cracked a huge state-wide fake note network that surpasses cinema stories and crime web series. The khaki squad, which chased after the clue of just one fake note of Rs. 500, has succeeded in catching six dangerous accused by unearthing a separate systematic network of printing, sale and circulation that had a network in various parts of the state including Bangalore and Mysore.

One note clue; Network exposed!
Two miscreants had bought cigarettes from a shop in Huliyar and fled after giving them a fake note of Rs. 500. The Huliyur and Chikkanayakanahalli police, who started the investigation on the complaint of the shop owner, have carried out a massive operation in various places including Bangalore and Mysore, on the tip of just one note. During this, a separate systematic network of printing, sale and circulation was discovered.
The functioning of the accused
Among the six arrested, Rudresh from Bengaluru was printing the fake notes, while Ravi from Mysore was responsible for selling them. Kuberappa and Hanumanthappa from Anantapur were working as middlemen. It was learned during the operation that Venkatesh and Tilak Kumar, who were buying the notes from them, were circulating them among the public.
More than 60 fake notes of Rs. 500 denomination have been seized from the arrested persons. During the investigation, information was received that the notes were being circulated in other districts of the state as well, and the police have intensified the investigation to trace the large network behind this and its complete roots.
