Chikkaballapura, Oct 17: A massive, mysterious explosion has occurred in the immediate vicinity of the world-renowned tourist destination, Nandi Hills (Nandigiridhama). The force of the blast caused huge boulders to break loose and tumble down the hillside.
This sudden incident took place on ‘Brahmagiri Hill’—a site of mythological significance located in Chikkaballapura Taluk, right next to Nandi Hills.
The intensity of the mysterious explosion on Brahmagiri Hill caused large boulders from the upper reaches to collide with one another as they rolled down. The sight of rocks cascading down the hillside resembled a severe landslide, creating an atmosphere of fear among the surrounding rural communities.
Locals situated at the base of the hill captured footage of this terrifying and chilling spectacle on their mobile phones.
Major Tragedy Averted:
The sound of the explosion and the sight of the tumbling boulders left both locals and tourists in a state of panic for some time. Fortunately, however, no loss of life has been reported in connection with this incident. The Brahmagiri hill, where the event occurred, is located in very close proximity to Nandi Hill (Nandigiridhama). Authorities and the police are currently investigating the true cause of this mysterious explosion—specifically, whether it resulted from stone quarrying, the intensity of an explosion, or a natural rockfall.
