Islamabad: Pakistani social media influencer and TikTok star Ayesha Gilamana was shot dead in broad daylight. The 28-year-old, who had over 1.3 million followers, was shot dead by two unidentified assailants on a bike.
After being shot, her car veered off the road and fell into a drain. CCTV footage of the incident has now been released.
Shamso Bibi, known as ‘Ayesha Gilamana’ among followers, had come out of her house after receiving a phone call and was reportedly travelling in a car with her 15-year-old sister and younger brother Naimatullah when the shooting took place. When the family was travelling some distance, two men on a bike approached the moving car and opened fire.
Ayesha died on the spot after being shot in the neck. Her younger sister was injured in the attack. Ayesha’s family told the police that they had received a call on their mobile phone shortly before the incident. According to their complaint, a man named Kashif (alias Kashi) had asked them to meet her soon.
Ayesha then left the house with her younger sister and brother. The family got information about the shooting shortly after that. After the incident, her father went to the hospital and identified his daughter’s body.
Shamso Bibi’s father Sahibzada said that his daughter had been making TikTok videos for about three-four years and had a significant number of followers on the platform.
