Celebrating 25 years of SJEC, the event served not merely as an alumni gathering but as a celebration of a shared legacy. From its establishment in 2002, SJEC has grown into an autonomous institution known for academic excellence, industry engagement, innovation, research, entrepreneurship and holistic student development.
The Silver Jubilee celebrations provided an opportunity to look back at this remarkable journey while also looking forward to the institution’s future. The evening was filled with the excitement of old friendships being renewed, stories being revisited and memories being relived. Alumni returning to campus and reconnecting with classmates transformed the celebration into an emotional homecoming.
The event also reinforced the role of the SJEC Alumni Association as a platform for strengthening connections between alumni, students and the institution. Such interactions create opportunities for mentorship, industry exposure, professional networking, collaborative initiatives and knowledge sharing. The Alumni Achievers from different backgrounds were honored and felicitated for their achievements in the respective fields as a token of appreciation and love from the Alma mater. Former Director, Assistant director and the principal were felicitated on this occasion for their contribution to SJEC’s success and growth over the years.
The presence and participation of alumni from diverse professional backgrounds added tremendous energy to the celebrations, while the interaction with current students brought a forward-looking dimension to the programme. From inspiring conversations on career success to heartfelt reunions and celebrations, Reminiscia 2026 became a memorable chapter in SJEC’s Silver Jubilee year. Presence of Rev. Fr. Valerian D’Souza, former Director, SJEC, Rev. Fr. Henry Mascarenhas, former Assistant Director and Dr. Joseph Gonsalves, former Principal made the occasion more special, sharing their experiences and thoughts on 25 years of SJEC.
The event successfully captured the essence of the alumni spirit – “Come Home, Reconnect, Reminisce and Celebrate.”As former students stepped back onto the campus and into a space filled with familiar faces and unforgettable memories, Reminiscia 2026 reaffirmed a simple yet powerful message: the journey from SJEC may take alumni across cities, countries, industries and professions, but the bond with their alma mater remains timeless.
The Silver Jubilee commemorative alumni meet thus concluded as more than an event. It became a celebration of 25 years of excellence, thousands of journeys, lifelong friendships and an ever-growing SJEC family, setting the stage for many more meaningful alumni engagements in the years ahead.
