Mangaluru: Ashmith A.J., a Class VIII student of St. Aloysius Gonzaga School, Mangaluru, has emerged as the Winner of Zee Kannada Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2026, bringing immense pride to his school, family and the city. He was awarded the winner’s trophy and a prize of Rs. 20 lakh, sponsored by White Gold, Bengaluru. He was mentored during the competition by renowned singer Indu Nagaraj.
Applauding Ashmith’s remarkable success, Principal, Rev. Fr. Rohan D’Almeida, SJ, said, “Congratulations, Ashmith. The Management, Staff, Students and Parents are proud of your achievement. Ashmith AJ, son of Jayaram A and Revathi K joined St. Aloysius Gonzaga School in Class I, and right from his early years, his teachers and the school music teacher recognised his exceptional talent in singing. The school provided him with numerous opportunities to nurture and showcase his abilities. He became a lead singer in the school choir and regularly performed at various school events and celebrations including “Viva Gonzaga”, a grand cultural extravaganza. An active member of the Cubs and later the Scouts Unit, Ashmith represented the school in the Geetgayana competitions organised by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, winning prizes for the school at the Taluk, District and State levels.
