St Philomena College (Aotonomous) Cadet Captain Diganth V.S.  selected for All India Nau Sainik Camp 2026

Puttur: Cadet Captain Diganth V.S. of St Philomena College (Autonomous), Puttur, has been selected to represent the Karnataka and Goa Directorate at the prestigious All India Nau Sainik Camp (AINSC) 2026, the highest national-level training and competition camp for the Naval Wing of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

The camp will be held at INS Shivaji, Lonavala, Maharashtra, from June 30 to July 10, 2026. Considered one of the most coveted camps for Naval Wing cadets, the AINSC brings together the best cadets from NCC Directorates across the country to compete, train and showcase their seamanship and leadership skills.

Cadet Captain Diganth secured his place after successfully clearing a rigorous multi-stage selection process conducted at the Group and Directorate levels. His selection followed an impressive display of proficiency in naval skills, discipline, leadership and teamwork, reflecting his dedication, perseverance and commitment to excellence.

During the ten-day camp, cadets will participate in a series of highly competitive events, including Boat Pulling, Boat Rigging, Ship Modelling, Drill, Semaphore, Knot Tying and Service Subject Examinations. These events are designed to assess practical seamanship, technical competence, physical endurance and military bearing, while fostering camaraderie, teamwork and leadership among participants representing NCC Directorates from across the country.

Representing the Karnataka and Goa Directorate at the national level is regarded as a matter of immense pride and distinction. Diganth’s selection is a recognition of his individual merit and dedication, while also reflecting the high standards of training imparted by the Directorate.
