New Delhi: Travel platform Thomas Cook (India) and its group company SOTC Travel on Monday launched a new facility to provide insurance against visa rejection to travellers in the face of a dynamic global environment.

Under this facility, if a customer’s visa application (other than a migrant or employment visa) is rejected, the company will compensate the insured for non-refundable advance payments for accommodation and travel, including applicable official cancellation charges.
Things to consider before buying health insurance (Financial Class)
The insurance for trips cancelled due to visa rejection covers group tours as well as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and corporate travel deals. The product is underwritten by ICICI Lombard.
The move comes in response to long-standing customer concerns about irrecoverable losses in the event of visa rejection.
