19-year-old Kerala student crowned Miss Universe India 2026

Jaipur: A 19-year-old law student from Kerala, Kazia Liz Mejo, has been crowned Miss Universe India 2026.

Kazia beat 52 other contestants in the final round of the competition held in Jaipur on Sunday to emerge as the winner of Miss Universe India 2026. With this, she also became the first woman from Kerala to win the title.

Kazia Liz Mejo will represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant to be held in Puerto Rico in November.

Vaishnavi Ganesh from Tamil Nadu was named the first runner-up, Anushree Satavlekar from Gujarat was the second runner-up, Tejaswini Srivastava from Maharashtra was the third runner-up, and Anubha Vashisht Chaudhary from Uttarakhand was the fourth runner-up.

Who is Kazia Liz Mejo?

Born and raised in Mavelikkara, Kerala, Kajia is a law student who has also made a name for herself as a model, actress, and dancer. Her Instagram bio describes her as a “model – actress – dancer.”

Kazia has over 40,000 followers on Instagram. Earlier, she represented India at Miss Teen International 2025 and emerged as the first runner-up. Now, at just 19 years old, she has won the Miss Universe India crown.

Kazia grew up in Abu Dhabi: Born in 2007, Kazia Liz Mejo spent her childhood in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She studied at Emirates National School, St. Joseph’s School, and Abu Dhabi Indian School.
