Bengaluru, Jan 31: In Bengaluru, famous real estate businessman, Chairman and Founder of Confident Group, who built an empire worth thousands of crores, committed suicide in his office on Friday, causing a severe shock to the business community.

Income Tax Department officials had raided the house and offices of CJ Roy, who was one of the richest businessmen in the country, many times in the past. Similarly, today too, an IT raid was conducted on his company, due to which Manan shot himself with his own pistol and committed suicide.
IT Department officials had raided the office of Confident Group Company in Langford Town on Hosur Road this morning. A team of 8 officials had come in two Innova cars.
Businessman CJ Roy, who came to the office in the afternoon, faced an IT interrogation for 1 hour. He also gave some documents to the officials. He went to the room to bring more documents. At this time, he shot himself in the chest with a pistol. As he fired a round, the IT officials, who snatched the gun, tried to save him. Meanwhile, Roy died and his body was shifted to Narayan Hospital in HSR Layout.
The police did not immediately reveal any reason for suicide and did not say whether a suicide note was found. Officials said that they are examining Roy’s personal and professional circumstances and are talking to family members, colleagues and close friends as part of the investigation.
Owner of many luxury cars, including 12 Rolls Royces
CJ Roy, who had a great interest in luxury cars, owns several expensive luxury and sports cars in Dubai and India.
From Rolls Royces and Lamborghinis to Bugatti Veyrons, his garage has cars worth tens of millions.
Roy recently bought his 12th Rolls-Royce, a Phantom VIII, worth Rs 10 crore. With this, Roy owned a total of 12 Rolls-Royce cars.
Businessman Roy first bought his first Rolls-Royce in 2008.
