Iran oil facilities, refineries hit by hail of fire

Tehran: The conflict between the US, Israel and Iran has intensified for the 9th day. The death toll from the attack-counterattack has crossed the 1,700 mark. 25 US soldiers have been killed in Iran’s retaliatory attack. The attack on oil storage facilities has plunged Tehran into a hail of fire.

Israel carried out airstrikes on five major oil facilities, refineries and 25 oil tankers in Iran on Sunday, amid the election of a successor to the slain Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Israel has destroyed five major oil storage facilities around Tehran. Several oil fields, including Shahran and Aghdasiyya oil depots, have been hit by missile attacks. 25 tankers carrying oil have been destroyed. The Israeli bomb attack has engulfed the entire city of Tehran in flames. Sparks are raining down in the sky, causing panic among the people. Four people, including two oil tanker drivers, have been killed in the airstrike.

Killing of US soldiers

Iran has continued its retaliatory attacks against the US and its allies. 21 US soldiers have been killed in a missile attack on the US Navy headquarters in Manama, Bahrain. Iran has taken revenge on the US for sinking the Iris Dena ship in the Indian Ocean, killing 87 of its soldiers.

On the other hand, the US embassy in Oslo, Norway, has been attacked. The embassy was attacked at 1 am. The bomb attack caused minor damage to the office. However, there were no casualties. It is not yet known who carried out the attack. Norwegian officials said that an investigation is underway.

Unrelenting attacks on Gulf countries

Iran continued its attacks on Gulf countries on Sunday. Iran carried out airstrikes targeting US air bases and residential complexes in Dubai, Doha, Riyadh, Manama, Abu Dhabi. It is reported that an attack was carried out on Jerusalem, Israel.

UAE ready for counterattack

The UAE, which has been silent for the past eight days without responding to the Iranian attack, has announced that it will launch a counterattack on the 9th day. The UAE Foreign Ministry announced that it is ready to launch military operations against Iran to protect the country’s sovereignty and protect the lives of its people, and there is a risk of further escalating the conflict. The Arab League Secretary-General has condemned Iran’s unprovoked attacks on the Gulf countries.

Haifa oil tanker destroyed

Meanwhile, Iran, which has launched another round of missile attacks against Israel, has bombed the largest oil storage facility in Haifa. The tanker was attacked using a Khyber Sheikhan intercontinental missile. As a result, oil refining there has been stopped. India’s Adani Group has invested in the Haifa oil storage facility belonging to the Bajan Group. By attacking the unit that supplied 50 percent of Israel’s energy, Iran has retaliated against Israel for attacking its oil storage facility.

Tel Aviv bombed

Meanwhile, Iran has launched a missile attack on Israel’s major city Tel Aviv. At least 10 areas have been bombed. The Israeli government has reported that three civilians were injured in another attack on central Israel.

Iran warns Trump

“There will be a fitting revenge for the assassination of Khamenei. US President Donald Trump, who has called for war, will make Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pay a heavy price. Leaders who killed the Iranian people will not be spared,” the head of Iran’s defense forces, Ali Larijani, warned.

Oil production in Iraq has fallen

As a result of the conflict, crude oil production in Iraq, which was a major hub for global oil transportation, has fallen by 60 percent. Iraq’s main oil refineries, which used to produce 4.3 million barrels per day, have now dropped to 1.8 million barrels per day. It is reported that production has also fallen due to a shortage of oil tankers and a decrease in oil storage capacity due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The 80-member Council of Senior Religious Experts, which met in Tehran on Sunday, finalized the name of the new leader after comprehensive consultations. “A man who strongly opposes the enemies, as desired by our slain Supreme Leader Khamenei,” the statement said.
