Kolkata, Aug 19: Reliance Industries Executive Director Anant Ambani has rushed to the aid of a poor boy from West Bengal who was living in the water of a lake 24 hours a day instead of home due to the strangest disease in the country. Ambani, who brought the boy, who was suffering from a problem of burning his whole body when he came out of the water, to Mumbai by airlift, has arranged for free specialized treatment at a prestigious hospital owned by him.

What is this strange disease? Why does he live in a lake?

Iqbal, a resident of Beldanga village in Murshidabad district of West Bengal, had been spending days and nights in the water of the village lake for the past several years. As soon as he came out of the water, he would experience severe burning and needle-like pain all over his body. He was unable to bear the pain and had to stay submerged in water to escape the heat. Recently, a video of the boy sitting in the lake and eating his lunch went viral on social media. His parents, who are from a poor family, had earlier taken him to the hospital but he had not recovered. They had appealed for help as they could not afford further treatment due to poverty.

How did this matter come to the attention of Anant Ambani?

A video of this boy, named Iqbal, staying in the lake day and night went viral on social media. According to an ANI report, he had been in the water for several days. He had said that when he came out of the water, his whole body would burn, so he wanted to stay in the water. Another video of him sitting in the lake and eating his lunch highlighted the seriousness of his condition. This video went viral and Anant Ambani, who had started the Vantara Animal Care Center out of compassion for animals, decided to help this poor boy.

Anant Ambani’s heart was touched by the viral video:

Seeing the pathetic condition of the boy who went viral on social media, Anant Ambani immediately sprang into action. He arranged for an airlift from Mumbai with a team of specialized doctors to provide the boy with immediate emergency medical treatment. Iqbal has been admitted to the prestigious Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. Anant Ambani said that he will bear all the necessary diagnostic tests and the entire cost of long-term treatment for the boy.

What is the doctor’s warning?

According to dermatologists, due to constant exposure to water, the skin became soft (Skin Maceration) and there was a risk of wounds, cracks and serious bacterial and fungal infections.

Now, the boy’s treatment has started under the supervision of top doctors in Mumbai and there is hope that he will recover soon. Anant Ambani’s humanitarian nature, who responded to the poor boy’s pain and stepped forward to save his life, is being greatly appreciated across the country.
