Car accident in Jhansi – Gangster Atiq Ahmed’s younger son Aban and two others died

Jhansi, August 06: Gangster and politician Atiq Ahmed’s younger son Aban died in an accident. He died in a horrific road accident near Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. He was returning to Prayagraj after meeting his brother Ali Ahmed who is in Jhansi jail when the accident occurred in the Poonch police station limits of the Jhansi-Kanpur National Highway.

The white Hyundai Creta car in which Aban and his companions were travelling was speeding when the driver lost control and crashed into a road divider. The car was completely crushed due to the intensity of the collision, and Aban and his friend Sonu died on the spot. Three other youths in the car were seriously injured.

The injured were immediately shifted to the Community Health Centre in Maat and then to Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College for further treatment. Aban had come from Prayagraj to meet Ali Ahmed, the elder son of Atiq Ahmed, who is lodged in Jhansi jail.

Police have tightened security around the hospital and Jhansi jail as soon as the news of the accident came to light. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. Mafia leader and former MP Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead in front of cameras in Prayagraj in 2023 while they were being taken for a medical check-up.

Atiq’s other son Asad was killed in a UP STF encounter in Jhansi in April 2023. While Ali and Umar are in jail, the younger son Aban has now died untimely in a road accident.
