Nana Patekar Passes Away: Veteran Actor Succumbs to Heart Attack

Mumbai, October 8: Shocking news has struck the Indian film industry today. Veteran actor Nana Patekar has passed away at his residence in Goa.

He was 75 years old. Condolences are pouring in from all quarters, and many are finding it difficult to come to terms with the news. Nana Patekar was found unconscious in the morning. Although he was immediately rushed to the hospital, the efforts were in vain; doctors officially declared him dead. This news has come as a massive shock to the entire film fraternity.

According to preliminary reports, he breathed his last around 5:20 AM following a severe heart attack. Upon arrival at the hospital, CPR was administered for approximately 45 minutes, but despite the doctors’ relentless efforts, his life could not be saved.

Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Head of Manipal Hospital, shared details regarding the incident. Further information is expected following the post-mortem examination, and the family will soon provide more details concerning the circumstances of his death.

Nana Patekar was a stalwart of both Bollywood and the Marathi film industry. He had garnered millions of fans through his distinctive acting style and intense delivery of dialogues. Having been active in the film industry for decades, he made immense contributions to Indian cinema.

Films such as ‘Parinda’, ‘Krantiveer’, and ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’ brought him great acclaim. He also gained popularity through comedy films like ‘Welcome’. ‘Yaksha’ was the only Kannada film he acted in. His passing marks the loss of a significant link in the Indian film industry. He had largely stayed away from the film industry in recent times.
