We did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments. But I am aware of my responsibility as an artist. I definitely apologize. We have given all the things in writing as well. The commission has been very cooperative, she said.

The lyrics of the song ‘Sarse Ninna Seraga’ from the film KD The Devil, starring actor Dhruva Sarja and directed by Prem, were in controversy. There was a huge controversy over the use of obscene sentences in the song. Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi, who danced in that song, also faced widespread criticism due to the outrage.
Nora had made it clear that she was distancing herself from the song as soon as the song became controversial. She had said that she had acted only in the Kannada version and that her permission was not taken to use the song in the Hindi version. He also said that only a summary was given, without giving the full meaning of the Kannada literature.
Immediately after the release of the song ‘Sarke Chunar’, criticism was expressed on social media against its lyrics and dance design. Singer Armaan Malik had criticized the lyrics of the song. Legal complaints were also filed to ban the song. As pressure mounted, the song was removed from YouTube.
National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar had expressed a strong stance in this matter that the dignity of women cannot be damaged in the name of creativity. During the hearing, the Commission had questioned the concerned on the issues of motive, responsibility and awareness, and had directed them to take action to prevent such incidents from recurring.
