What is a pancake?
A pancake is a thin and round type of snack made from a mixture of ingredients such as flour, eggs, milk and butter. It is usually cooked on both sides on a frying pan or tawa.
It is a very popular breakfast in Western countries, and is usually enjoyed as a dessert with honey, maple syrup or fruits. Although it is similar to the Indian dosa or utthappa in its preparation method, pancakes are usually soft and slightly thicker. Globally, they are prepared in both sweet and savory flavors according to the traditions of their respective countries.
