Patna: A man has been arrested in Bihar’s Buxar district for allegedly sending a threatening message to a foreign intelligence agency website threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security, police said.

The accused, identified as Amal Kumar Tiwari, hailing from Simri, was arrested on Thursday night. Laptops, mobile phones and other digital evidence were seized from the arrested accused’s house.
Tiwari sent a message to a US-based intelligence agency website, demanding money for threatening the Prime Minister’s security, PTI reported.
Multiple virtual private networks (VPNs) and some applications were found in the mobile phone seized from the accused. Police said these were used to access the dark web.
Tiwari confessed to his involvement in the incident during interrogation. Officials said that a case was registered against him in the past for threatening to hack the Kolkata airport website. He is currently being questioned by the police and central agencies.
