Bhopal, June 02: A special CBI court has sent model and actress Twisha Sharma’s husband Samarth and her mother-in-law and former district judge Giribala Singh to judicial custody till June 16 in connection with the suicide case.

Special CBI judge Bhavana Bhalawe issued this order after the central investigation agency decided not to seek further custody of the two accused.
The court directed that both of them be sent to judicial custody for 14 days as the CBI did not seek extension of custody. Twisha Sharma was recently taken into CBI custody as part of the investigation into her death. This development came after the two were later produced before the court.
Intense verbal exchange during the hearing: There was a heated exchange of words between the lawyers of both sides during the hearing. Giribala Singh, the lawyer representing Twisha Sharma, alleged that her son Samarth Singh was assaulted on the court premises in Jabalpur.
However, Srivastava, who denied the allegation, showed CCTV cameras in the Jabalpur court complex. He argued that if such an incident had taken place, the court could have obtained the CCTV footage. He also questioned where Samarth Singh was during the hearing in Jabalpur.
