Washington, April 20: As the US war against Iran continues, Srinivas Narayanan, the chief technology officer (CTO) of OpenAI’s B2B app, has abruptly resigned from his position. He announced that he will be leaving the company at the end of next week after three years.

After a few product launches, it felt like the right time. He also posted on social media that he planned to move to India to be with his family before deciding on his next move.
I informed the OpenAI boss earlier this month. Three years have passed, “feels like ten,” he wrote. “I look forward to spending some time with my elderly parents in India before deciding what’s next.”
OpenAI thanked CEO Sam Altman and President and Co-Founder Greg Brockman. Srinivas Narayan, who joined OpenAI as Vice President of Engineering, was promoted to CTO of B2B Applications. He led the engineering teams behind ChatGPT, the API platform, and OpenAI’s enterprise tools.
An alumnus of IIT Madras, he earned a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and began his career at IBM’s Almaden Research Center. Prior to OpenAI, he worked at Meta for more than a decade.
