Indian tourist files police complaint against racial abuse at Thailand restaurant

Bangkok, April 20: An Indian national has filed a police complaint against a woman at a restaurant in Thailand. He claims that a minor argument over the breakfast bill led to a heated exchange of words and racial abuse. When the restaurant called a woman to help translate, she asked the passengers which country they were from.

After learning that they were Indians, the woman started using racial abuse. She said that she did not want to pay Indians. So instead of getting into a fight, the passenger contacted the Thai police to resolve the dispute.

This is the first time he has seen racial abuse in Thailand, and the authorities came and explained the situation. The restaurant manager later apologized, the passenger said.

Racial abuse is not right, nor is it right to argue. The incident took place in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand, and the police had to be called to clarify the situation. Teach your parents. Teach your children. You will only understand when it hurts you, the caption on   social media  reads.

The video has sparked a debate on social media, with many expressing support for the passenger and condemning the racist abuse. Others said the entire incident cannot be understood from the video alone.
