London, July 25: A drug overdose has been ruled the cause of the death of a Saudi Arabian prince in London. An inquest has revealed that the 29-year-old Saudi prince died after consuming a lethal combination of alcohol, party drugs and prescription drugs at a luxury London hotel. Abdullah bin Fahd was found dead in his room at the Marriott Hotel in Kensington on November 25, 2025.
Prince Abdullah bin Fahd had suffered a heart attack after taking various drugs. According to evidence presented at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court, Prince Abdullah stayed at the hotel for a week on November 19, worth 600 euros. He was last seen on CCTV having a cigarette the evening before his death.
The next day, a Safiye Hotel employee went to his fifth-floor room and found him collapsed on the bathroom floor. Hotel staff immediately alerted the emergency services. Paramedics arrived but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death was ruled to have been caused by a dangerous combination of drugs and alcohol. Tests showed Prince Abdullah had a blood alcohol level of 222mg per 100ml, more than three times the legal limit for drink driving in England. Experts told the court that this level of alcohol alone would have caused a coma. Before his death, Prince Abdullah had been struggling with alcohol addiction and prescription drug dependency, the court was told.
