Delhi, Nov 2: Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi, who garnered attention for her spectacular dance performance in a song for the film ‘Jailer 2’, has now found herself in legal trouble. The Delhi Court expressed its displeasure over her failure to appear for a hearing in a case and warned her against attempting to mislead the court.

‘Jailer 2’, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring Superstar Rajinikanth, was released in theaters on October 15. The film features an extensive star cast, including Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa, S.J. Suryah, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Hrithik Roshan, Mohanlal, and Shivarajkumar. The music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the film was produced by Sun Pictures.
Following its release, the film received a positive response from audiences, with reports suggesting it has grossed Rs.790 crore worldwide within 17 days. It is also reported that the film’s earnings in Tamil Nadu have crossed the Rs.200 crore mark.
Against this backdrop, Nora Fatehi—who appeared in the film—is in the news regarding an old fraud case. This case pertains to allegations that businessman Sukesh Chandrashekhar swindled approximately Rs.200 crore from the wife of Shivinder Mohan Singh—the former owner of Ranbaxy who was incarcerated during the 2020-21 period.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is investigating the matter, has already questioned Nora Fatehi. The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi had directed her to appear for proceedings, designating her as a witness in the case.
However, the actress’s failure to appear has drawn the court’s displeasure. Consequently, the judge issued a stern instruction to Nora’s counsel, directing them to advise the actress against any attempts to mislead the court. Thus, amidst the success of ‘Jailer 2’, Nora Fatehi’s legal issues have once again become a subject of discussion.
