Delhi, May 16: Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh has once again landed in trouble for his controversial statements. The Chandigarh Police have registered a case against him for allegedly making objectionable and derogatory remarks about women in a conversation in a web series.

According to reports, a video clip from the web series is going viral on social media, in which Yograj Singh’s character is seen interacting with police officers at a police station. During this conversation, he is alleged to have made some objectionable remarks about women.
Taking the matter seriously, an FIR has been registered against Yograj Singh at Sector 36 police station in Chandigarh. According to the police, a case has been registered under Section 79 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 62-A of the Information Technology Act (IT Act), 2000. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
This is not the first time that Yograj Singh has been embroiled in controversy. He has made controversial statements on public platforms in the past. Yograj Singh, who often speaks out against Dhoni, had landed in a big controversy by publicly stating that Dhoni was the reason for the end of his son Yuvraj Singh’s cricketing career.
Yograj Singh is a former Indian cricketer who has also played one Test match and six ODI matches for India. He has taken one wicket in Tests and four wickets in ODIs.
After retirement, he has been working as a cricket coach and also in films. He has appeared in several Punjabi and Bollywood films. He will now be seen in a web series.
