For this reason, fatal diseases are also occurring today. But some products are coming to the fore only after they become very dangerous. The central government has already banned some ingredients and artificial colors. Despite this, the adulteration of products has not stopped. Because of the crores of money being spent to promote these and the use of film stars in advertisements, their blind fans are following them.
Fine for which companies?
Now, the Central Government is taking strict action against companies that deceive consumers by publishing misleading advertisements on product packaging websites and digital platforms, such as ‘100 percent’. The CCPA has imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh each on Storia Foods & Beverages and Mrs. Bectors Food Specialties Ltd. The CCPA has also imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh each on them. It has also ordered them to stop such objectionable advertisements and transactions immediately. Union Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has given information about this.
Everything is adulterated
The CCPA has taken suo motu action against Storia Foods and Beverages Pvt. Ltd. This company is selling coconut water, pomegranate juice, mixed fruit juice, mango juice, guava juice in the name of purity. Many people have bought it believing this. This was also advertised on Storia’s official website (shop.storiafoods.com), on product packaging and on e-commerce platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Blinkit, JioMart and Zepto.
Coconut water was mixed with other water. However, it has been found that this product also contains Class II preservative INS 202. Similarly, a case of fraud has been registered after it was found in the laboratory that all the products that claim to be natural juice are adulterated.
Apart from this, there are a large number of people who use wheat flour. It is known that this company that has invested in it is cheating by claiming that it is pure wheat flour. Adulteration has also been found in bread. Therefore, people have been warned not to be fooled by advertisements and buy.
