Milagres College Welcomes New Batch with Academic Year 2026-2027 Inauguration and Orientation Programme

Mangalore: The inauguration of the new academic year for the undergraduate students of Milagres College was held at 9:15 a.m. at the Rooftop Auditorium of the college on July 20, 2026. The programme marked the commencement of the 2026–27 academic year with an orientation programme for newly admitted students.

Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Rev. Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues, Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, said that the beginning of a new academic year is not merely about joining a new college or purchasing new books, but marks the start of a new chapter in every student’s life. He emphasized that the occasion should be viewed as an opportunity for meaningful preparation rather than a mere ceremonial celebration. He also noted that undergraduate education is a crucial phase in a student’s life and plays a significant role in shaping one’s future.

Rev. Dr. Alwin Serrao, Principal of Milagres College, addressed the gathering and briefed the students on the rules and regulations for the 2026–27 academic years. He also extended his best wishes to the students for a successful and enriching academic year.

As part of the programme, Roshan Santumayor, Principal of Padua Pre-University College, conducted an academic orientation workshop, offering guidance to students on adapting to college life and making the best use of the opportunities available during their undergraduate studies.

The programme was attended by the institution’s teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and parents.

Glancia Fernandes, Vice Principal of the College, welcomed the gathering. Shaila Moras, Programme Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks, while Priya Bhat, Lecturer, compered the programme. ‎
