New Delhi: General Takehiro Morita, Chief of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, flew in India’s indigenous ‘LCA Tejas’ fighter jet during the ‘Veer Guardian-2026’ joint military exercise. Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh described this as a testament to Japan’s trust and confidence in the Indian fighter aircraft.
Speaking after the exercise, Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh stated that Morita’s decision reflects the respect and confidence placed in the Indian fighter jet.
In the ongoing ‘Veer Guardian-2026’ exercise, the Indian Air Force is participating with its indigenous Tejas, Sukhoi Su-30 MKI, and Rafale fighter jets, while the Japan Air Force is taking part with its F-2A fighter jets.
